Why Lumisa exists
The story
Lumisa was started by a Minnesota IT and business consultant who builds the systems businesses run on: operations, websites, pricing, and client platforms.
Around here, a founder can get good advice and sometimes a loan. An advisor will tell you that you need a website, a pricing model, licensing, insurance, and a way to book clients. Then the meeting ends, and nobody builds those things with you. Most first-time founders stall right there.
Lumisa fills that gap. We sit next to you and build until your business is running.
The gap
The third leg
A healthy ecosystem for founders needs three things: advising, lending, and building. Minnesota already has strong advising and lending. Lumisa is the build layer, working alongside both, never against them.
Advising
Exists. Advisors help founders think it through.
Building
Missing. Lumisa builds it with them until it runs.
Lending
Exists. Lenders help founders afford it.

How we're set up
Lumisa is a nonprofit program. Services are free to participants.
Lumisa is in the process of securing a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Donation and tax-deductibility details will appear here once that agreement is signed.
